Delete Your Account

Sign in to Novdeh on the web or in the mobile app, open Me, then Settings, and choose Delete account. You will see a summary of what deletion will do before you confirm.

If you cannot sign in to the account you want deleted, contact Novdeh support with the email address on the account so we can verify your identity and process the request manually.

Deleting your account is permanent and cannot be undone from inside the product.

• All of your active sessions and refresh tokens are revoked immediately.
• Your organization memberships are removed.
• Your reader subscriptions end immediately. Time you've already paid for isn't refunded.
• Your tickets for upcoming events are cancelled. Paid tickets aren't refunded.
• An organization you're the only owner of is closed, unless it takes payments through Stripe (see below).
• Your profile is anonymized: your display name, handle, bio, and avatar are cleared, and your display name is replaced with "Deleted account".
• Your purely personal data is deleted: saved articles, reading history and markers, reading and notification preferences, registered devices, and any private notes captured in the app.
• Your account is deactivated and your sign-in email is replaced so it can no longer be used to sign in.
• Your password is cleared and cannot be reset.

Only one thing blocks deletion, so that readers and ticket buyers aren't left with a broken account:

• You're the only owner of an organization that takes payments through Stripe. Add another owner or close the organization first.

Some information may be retained after deletion for legitimate legal, accounting, security, or anti-fraud reasons, consistent with the retention practices described in our Privacy Policy.

This includes order, payment, and subscription records kept for accounting and tax purposes, with your name and email removed, and security or audit logs used to investigate abuse and protect the platform. Retained records are limited to what these purposes need and are never used to restore or reactivate the deleted account.

Content you published on behalf of an organization, such as articles or news items, is organization-owned. It is not deleted from the organization's workspace when your personal account is deleted, and may instead be attributed to a removed or anonymized author, consistent with the organization-first model described in our Terms of Service.

Content you shared with other people, such as comments, messages, and event registrations, is not deleted either, since removing it could break other people's records or conversations. Wherever that content is shown, your name and profile are replaced with an anonymized "Deleted account" attribution.
